Dry skin of the hands what to do

Dry skin of the hands, what to do?

Dry skin of the hands.… Often, redness, peeling and cracks come with it. It turns out that there are many reasons for this, and today we will talk about each of them.

Causes of dry hands

It turns out that there are practically no sebaceous glands on the hands. Therefore, the skin becomes dry when in contact with various irritants or environmental factors. Proper care and timely moisturizing will keep your hands young and beautiful.

There are several main causes of dry skin:

    • Temperature changes. In the cold season, do not forget to wear gloves, and in the summer, use creams with a protective factor of SPF 15 or higher.

    • Hereditary predisposition, which can be slightly “muted” by providing your hands with regular care.

    • The lack of vitamins, which is most acute in the off-season. You can replenish the supply of vitamins and minerals with the help of vitamin complexes.

    • The negative impact of household chemicals, which can not only dry the skin, but even destroy the top layer of the skin. When doing any housework, use gloves, and in case of a very strong reaction of the skin of the hands, change the product you use.

    • Various kinds of diseases. Dry skin can be caused by diabetes. Also, dry and cracked skin may indicate the presence of eczema, fungal infection or dermatitis.
