Dry skin treatments can be really annoying. But the good news is that it’s treatable. Nothing can make your skin look as radiant as natural ingredients. I have looked at some easy homemade face mask recipes for dry skin. Let’s start!
Recipes for anti-aging masks for dry skin from wrinkles
Rejuvenating mask for dry skin with Hibiscus
You will need
- 2 tbsp. l. hibiscus tea
- 1 cup virgin coconut oil
Recipe
- Grind the hibiscus tea into a powder.
- Melt the coconut oil in a double pot.
- Add hibiscus tea powder to the oil and cover it for a while.
- Use a cheesecloth to strain the oil and separate the tea from the oil.
- Let the oil cool until it hardens.
- Beat it well in a mixer for about a minute or two.
- Transfer the pinkish cream into a glass jar and apply to the skin.
Why it works
In Africa, hibiscus pulp is often used to heal wounds and soothe the skin. It contains anthocyanins and antioxidants that improve skin health (5). Coconut oil has a soothing and soothing effect on your skin and also keeps it hydrated.
Mask for dry skin from wrinkles with vitamin E
You will need
- 3 art. l. shea butter
- 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
- 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel
- 3 art. l. apricot oil

Shea butter has amazing healing and moisturizing properties. It contains vitamins A, D and E which nourish your skin and help in healing eczema and other dry skin problems. Apricot seed oil pairs well with shea butter as it is non-irritating and just like shea butter, it keeps your skin hydrated.
Mask for dry skin from wrinkles with avocado
You will need
- 3 art. l. sweet almond oil
- 1 st. l. avocado oil
- 3 teaspoons beeswax
- 2 drops of lavender essential oil
- 2 tbsp. l. mineral water
- 1 drop peppermint essential oil

- Melt the beeswax and oils in a double pot.
- Heat mineral water (do not boil) and slowly add it to the melted mixture of beeswax and oil. Keep stirring.
- Remove the beeswax from the heat once it has melted and let it cool.
- Add essential oils and whisk vigorously.
- Scoop the cream into a glass jar and store it in a cool, dry place.
- Use it as a day cream.
Why it works
Avocado and almond oils contain UV filters that protect your skin from harmful UV rays while keeping it hydrated. Essential oils (lavender and peppermint) also have a sun protection factor. These oils protect your skin from UV rays and keep it healthy.
Recipes for moisturizing masks for dry skin
Face mask for dry skin from a mixture of oils
You will need
- ½ cup shea butter
- 6-7 drops of sea buckthorn oil
- 6-7 drops rosehip seed oil
- 6-7 drops of geranium oil
- 1 teaspoon avocado oil
Recipe
- Melt the shea butter in a double pot.
- Once it softens, remove it from the heat.
- Add avocado oil and stir.
- Add essential oils and beat the mixture well until it becomes a creamy texture.
- Store it in a glass jar and use it as a daily face cream.
Why it works
To make a double cauldron, pour some water into a saucepan and place it on the stove. Place a heat-resistant glass container that fits snugly into the pot. As soon as the water starts to boil, keep the butter in a glass container and let it melt. Keep stirring until it melts.
Mask for dry skin with argan oil and emu oil
You will need
- ½ cup argan oil (you can also use jojoba oil or hemp oil)
- ½ teaspoon emu oil
- 4-6 drops essential oil (lemongrass, rose geranium, rose, chamomile, palmarosa, rosemary, lavender, or peppermint)

- Take a glass bottle and pour argan oil into it.
- Add other oils to the argan oil and mix well.
- Use the mixture to massage your skin.
Why it works
Argan oil is light and suitable for soothing dry skin. Emu oil is a natural emollient that helps lock moisture into your skin and heals it from within. Essential oils (listed above) have a general healing effect, especially for dry and sensitive skin.
Beeswax face mask for dry skin
You will need
- ¼ cup beeswax granules
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ½ cup olive oil
- 10 drops essential oil (patchouli, roman chamomile, vanilla, sandalwood, frankincense, clary sage, lavender, or geranium oil)
Recipe
- Use the double cauldron to melt the beeswax.
- Once it melts, take it out of the pot and let it cool down.
- Add coconut and olive oils and beat well.
- Add essential oil
- Beat the mixture well until you get a creamy texture.
- Transfer the mixture to a glass jar and store it in a cool and dry place (do not refrigerate).
Why it works
Beeswax and olive oil treat skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis (eczema). Coconut oil provides extra hydration to your skin, while essential oils promote further healing.

Mask for dry skin with geranium oil
You will need
- 1 teaspoon chamomile tea (or dried chamomile flowers)
- ½ glass of water
- 1 st. l. lanolin
- 1 st. l. beeswax
- ½ cup sweet almond oil
- 1 vitamin A capsule
- 1 vitamin E capsule
- 3 drops geranium essential oil
Recipe
- Put chamomile tea (or flowers) in water, simmer for 10 minutes and strain the liquid.
- Melt the lanolin (if you are not using liquid lanolin) and beeswax in a double pot.
- Let the mixture cool down. Add chamomile extract.
- Pierce the vitamin capsules and squeeze the liquid into the mixture. Keep stirring and then add the essential oil.
