Genesis Perfect Face Serum is one of the most affordable face serums on the market, but for good reason. As an anti-aging serum that aims to reduce fine lines, restore a more radiant complexion, and reduce the visibility of pores, the serum aims to achieve lofty goals and hit all of them.
The dual aspect of the serum means that it contains both water soluble age control ingredients on the hydration side of the serum and oil soluble age control ingredients on the lipid side of the serum. Therefore, it is great for all skin types, from dry to oily.
Benefits of Genesis Perfect Face Serum Over Other Serums
Until a few years ago, I really didn’t see the point in using a serum. I thought my moisturizer could do everything my skin needed and it was just a ploy by skin care companies to steal all my money. Obviously I was wrong.
Serums started showing up in beauty stores and I realized that I didn’t take care of my skin as carefully as I thought. It has become very clear that serums are not only beneficial but also vital in a skin care regimen.
Over the past few years, I have become a passionate fan of face serums. I’ve tested hundreds of serums and noted which ones work and which don’t. I noticed a difference in my skin’s brightness, tone and texture, evenness, elasticity, plumpness and a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.
Because the serum contains oil-based ingredients, including extracts from over 20 plants, it definitely feels smoother and more oily upon application. The product can be applied once or twice a day, so if you have oily skin like I do, it’s best to include this serum only in your nighttime skincare routine. On the other hand, if you have dry skin, it would be great to give your skin some extra hydration throughout the day. Read our full review of the best hyaluronic acid serums.
How to use the Perfect Face Serum
Serum “perfect face” has the strangest instructions for use. I didn’t use it the way they suggested because when I tried it didn’t make sense at all. Find out the cost of Perfect Face Serum here.
The way the brand recommends applying the product is to apply it to damp skin and use half a dropper to cover the face and neck. There was no way I could get the serum to stick to my face when my skin was damp and half a dropper felt like a ton of product.
So the way I ended up using the serum was the same way I use almost every other face serum. In the morning and evening, I applied a small amount about the size of a pea to clean, dry skin. The brand said to use it both in the morning and at night, but I like to include the serum in my day and night skincare routine.
I had a really hard time wearing this serum under my makeup, which is a bit odd since it doesn’t leave a lot of residue behind. However, I think this is because the wax residue has built up on my skin over time.
Review of anti-wrinkle serum perfect face from Genesis
Serum Genesis ideal face – whitening and brightening. This serum is enriched with a revolutionary triple blend of amla berry, lychee and punarnava root extracts. It acts as a barrier against stress and pigmentation caused due to UVA and UVB and works to give a radiant skin tone.
It uses a synergistic antioxidant combination of ferulic acid and pure vitamin C and E to boost your skin’s environmental defenses against free radicals (so it’s especially ideal if you live in an urban area) and improve signs of aging. Find out about the most effective facial serums in 2020-2021.
Texture / Feel
The texture of Genesis Perfect Face Hyaluronic Serum is medium in consistency, so there are no surprises here. Also, the dropper applicator worked really well with the consistency of the serum and I was able to get the right amount I needed every time.
However, the feel of the serum when I applied it is very different from other face serums I have tried.
It feels very watery, which might make sense since it’s a hydrating facial serum, but it absorbed very well.
As soon as the serum was absorbed, it left behind a pleasant residue. After that, I easily applied other makeup products.
The drying time of Genesis Perfect Face Serum is very fast – I would say about 10-15 seconds.
It’s almost hard to apply because it dries out when you apply it, but if you’re moving fast you should be able to cover your face and neck within that short period of time.
For the most part, Genesis Perfect Face Serum is fragrance-free. However, if you find fault, it does smell a bit of bubbles.
The smell is not very strong and is not an unpleasant odor. And even if it bothers you a little, the smell goes away as soon as the product is absorbed into your skin, so you only need to experience it for about 10 seconds.
As I said above, however, the smell is very subtle, so you may not even notice it unless you are directly sniffing the open bottle.
Results of use
I have not experienced any immediate results with the Perfect Face Serum. For the first week or so, my skin looked virtually unchanged, so I didn’t see any positive or negative changes.
Long term results
The results I experienced immediately only increased the longer I used this product. I found that the pores on my nose and inner cheeks were noticeably smaller. I have had to use primers in the past to help fill in these pores, but I found that I can skip this step after using this face serum for a while. This was a unique result for a face serum that I have never experienced before.
My overall complexion has improved a lot. The healthy glow increased over time and this, combined with the intense hydration and plumping effect this serum gave me, I experienced younger looking skin and a more even complexion. I also saw a big difference in my fine lines and wrinkles, especially around my eye area. Where my concealer used to sink into these lines, I found I had a smoother, more “full” look in those places.
