Stamping is one of the techniques for decorating nails, which in literal translation from English sounds like “stamping”. Manicure stickers can now be easily forgotten and become a thing of the past. The stamping technique allows you to create a unique manicure at home. To perform it, special tools are required, which are not so obscure as to be unable to purchase everything you need in specialized stores. In addition, one nail stamping plate contains several ornaments, which allows you to diversify your looks without excessive financial costs.

engraved several options for drawings that you can use when creating a manicure.
Second instrument – stamp. It is made of silicone and is designed to transfer the selected pattern to the nail plate.
Another tool we need – scraper. The name is unusual, but is a common scraper. It is needed in order to remove excess varnish from the surface of the metal plate.
Also, to create a manicure, we need a base coat and a special stamping varnish, which we will use as a decoration. Do not try to save money, because it is difficult to find a regular varnish for such a technique. It should not be too thick, but not too liquid either. In addition, a mandatory property for such a varnish is a high content of coloring pigments in order to provide the most dense coverage of the pattern and exclude its translucence.
At the last stage of creating a manicure, we traditionally need a finishing (or as it is also called top) coating.
How to use nail stamping
Any newly purchased stamping disc is covered with a thin protective film, which must be removed before starting work. After removing the film, take a good look at the plate and select in advance the pattern that you will use in decorating the nails.
On the area of the picture that you have chosen, we apply a thin layer of special varnish for stamping (or ordinary varnish, if it satisfies the conditions stated above). With the help of a scraper, we remove excess varnish from the surface of the plate with a confident movement, leaving it only inside the engraved image. The scraper blade should be in contact with the surface of the disc at an acute angle.
Next, firmly press the stamp to the plate with the pattern and transfer the image to the nail plate. Note that the base of the stamp has a rounded surface, so you need to transfer the varnish to the stamp and from it to the nail with a rolling motion.

It is also important to properly care for the stamping plate and clean it thoroughly after each use. In the process of care, it is desirable to use cleansers containing acetone. All kinds of formulations containing oils and vitamin complexes can affect the quality of subsequent drawings. The particles remaining on the plate make the drawing blurry and sloppy.
Step by step nail design using stamping technique
Before we start decorating our nails, we traditionally carry out procedures for the preparation of pens. Do not forget to get rid of the cuticle and form the desired shape of the nail.
We cover the nails with a base base and a layer of varnish of the main color. We dry the varnish thoroughly so that when applying the drawing it does not spread and does not spoil all our work.
Now we take the stamping varnish and apply it to the image we need on a metal plate. With a fairly quick and confident movement of the hand, we remove excess varnish from the disk using a scraper.
The stamp for stamping is pressed against the image on the plate. If the pattern is large and does not fit on the center of the stamp, you need to make several rolling movements to print the entire pattern. Here it is advisable to inspect the stamp and evaluate the quality of the pattern remaining on it in order to avoid possible errors. If necessary, it is better to repeat the procedure.
Now we need to transfer our decor to the nail plate. To do this, we firmly press the silicone stamp to the nail and again make several rolling movements if the ornament is large enough.
It is advisable to perform manipulations for transferring the pattern to the stamp and from it to the nail fairly quickly and with confident movements. Eliminate the possibility of drying varnish, otherwise the resulting manicure will disappoint you with its errors. If the varnish dries very quickly, you can use an acetone-based nail polish remover. Moisten the stamping plate liberally with it before applying the colored polish. This will extend the drying time.
After transferring the ornament, let the pattern dry. As a rule, this happens quite quickly, since the pattern is applied to the nail in a thin layer.
At the end, we cover the nails with a finishing layer and enjoy the result.
Reverse stamping. Step by Step
This manicure technique involves creating a kind of sticker on the nail using nail stamping tools.
First, we traditionally apply varnish on a metal plate and transfer the pattern to a silicone stamp. In our particular case, we use black varnish.
The resulting drawing on the stamp is painted with multi-colored varnishes as you like. It is convenient to use dots for this purpose.
Now we cover the resulting pattern with a finish coat. It is important that the top layer be of medium consistency, because too thick a coating when transferred to the nail leads to the formation of wrinkles, and too liquid can cause our “sticker” to tear.
We leave the workpiece to dry on the stamp, and use the free time that has appeared for the standard preparation of the nail. By the way, it is desirable to cover the nail with white varnish, this will add saturation to the created manicure. The dried layer is easily removed from the stamp with tweezers.
At the next stage, we apply a layer of base coat on the nail and immediately apply our sticker to it. The base layer in this case allows you to link the decor with the nail plate. Experts advise to glue the blank first in the center of the nail, starting to press it from the cuticle towards the free edge, and only then perform smoothing movements from the center to the sides. We remove the excess with nail scissors.
At the final stage, according to tradition, we apply the finishing layer. It will not only fulfill its intended purpose, but also slightly soften the picture, allowing it to stick firmly.
As you can see, stamping technology is not difficult to master. A manicure created using this technique can rightfully be called unique, since the created design completely depends on your imagination and will definitely not be repeated anywhere.
